 IPL Therapy refers to intense pulsed lights, which is used by our technician to transfer energy from the hand piece to your skin for therapeutic results.
An IPL is concentrated light of high intensity like a laser, but broader spectrum visible wavelengths instead of a single wavelength. Broad spectrum helps it work on all skin types based on the settings unlike a pure single wavelength laser. Visible light is safe to your DNA unlike ionizing wavelengths such as UV or radio frequency. Pulsed allows heat dissipation so that your skin does not hurt or get burnt in spite of therapeutic energy levels.
The result is safe and effective FDA approved therapy for treatment of permanent hair removal, rosacea, spider veins, freckles, many types of pigmented defects, age spots, and fine line treatments through photo facials.
Microdermal Abrasion
Microdermal Abrasion is done by a sophisticated machine. There are two possible treatment modes, one is done by spraying the skin with fine particles with enough kinetic energy to scour the skin, or the other is through diamond coated abrasive pads which are rubbed. Both then use a vacuum collector to suck out the dead cells, oil and pore obstruction to rejuvenate and renew the skin surface gently, painlessly , and effectively. Microdermal Abrasion is a good adjunct to renew the skin in combination with a photo facial from the IPL.
