Invented about 10 years ago in the US, it is a computer controlled local anaesthetic delivery device which uses a foot pedal to control. It injects and preinjects at a comfortable controlled rate which is not traumatic to your tissues. it results in a more comfortable steering during and after its use than a traditional hand syringe.
